SECOND ACT is a new voice in contemporary romance celebrating Baby Boomers finding love and new careers in the second half of their lives.
The beautiful Jill Colquitt is an experienced art buyer for The Nook Of International Treasures, an exclusive shop in Neiman Marcus, Houston.  At age 50 and widowed for ten years, she has convinced herself she doesn't need romance in the second half of her life.  She feels happy and complete with her loving family, close friends, a job she loves, and Armand, a dear childhood friend who has moved back to Houston from Holland.  On a buying trip to Dallas,  in the lobby of the Omni Hotel, her eyes lock with those of handsome Justin Udall, a 50 year old artist of extraordinary talent.  He too is happy with his life.  Divorced and retired after thirty years as an international lawyer, he is enjoying pursuing his second career as a first class painter.  Jill is moved and excited about his work.  After buying a number of his paintings, she wants exclusive rights to all of his works.  But, Justin says NO.  That is when attraction, adventure, humor, frustration, misunderstanding and eventually trust, love, and marriage happens.
Follow the couple through the quaint streets of Wimberley, the art center of the Texas Hill Country, the trail rides on the picturesque Udall Ranch, and Christmas shopping in Rome.
Enjoy luscious food and the excitement of the couple getting to know each other.
And be a guest at the most unusual wedding.
